ROB WILLIAMS - REINSTATED JUNE 2009
Rob Williams is a well known UNITE activist who was sacked by Linamar in Swansea for his trade union activities. The Area Forum sent a message of solidarity to Rob, and also wrote to the company to protest against this injustice. The national union also pledged its support. As a result of this show of solidarity and strength, Rob was reinstated to his job.

PIGS AT THE TROUGH - THE LATEST SENIOR CIVIL SERVICE SCANDAL
A report in today's Guardian newspaper highlighted the disgraceful corporate hospitality enjoyed by the senior civil service, the majority of which is paid for by huge companies lobbying for business and/or influence. The Revenue branch of SW Wales will once again be calling for national conference to abolish the SCS in its present form, and this disgraceful state of affairs would appear to support this view, although visitors should note that this, at present, is only branch policy and not the policy of PCS SW Wales area or  PCS nationally. We live in hope, though! Click HERE to read the report in full.
