| Members have been shocked to learn of the proposed closure of MOD Llangennach. For some time, members have fought a robust campaign and put forward a very coherent business plan for the retention of this vital facility. All in all, 180 jobs are at risk in one of the poorest regions of the UK. Please follow this link to download and send a letter of protest to Des Browne, the Secretary of State for Defence. More details of the ongoing campaign will be posted soon. Nia Griffith has pledged her continued support for the campaign and will be meeting PCS representatives shortly. PCS has learned that the MOD cannot even get the "savings" from this exercise properly costed. The fight continues. |
